Terms

These terms are an agreement between the business using FoldVault ("you") and Carl Mumford Consulting Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15626285), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ ("we"). By ticking to agree, you confirm that you are 18 or over and allowed to agree on behalf of your business. Everyone your business adds to its vault must agree to them too.
For businesses only
FoldVault is for business use. It is not offered to consumers.
What you get
A private vault for your business, the people you add to it, FoldVault's own assistant if you switch it on, and the ability to connect AI tools you already use. What each plan includes is shown in the app.
This is a pilot
FoldVault is new and still being built. Features may change, be added or be removed while we learn what works. We will tell you about changes that matter.
What it costs
FoldVault is free while it is in pilot. The only thing you can pay for is AI credit, which the owner chooses to buy (see AI credit below). Before any other charge begins we will tell you the price in writing, and nothing is charged unless you agree to it. If you do not agree, you can export your notes and leave.
Fair use of the assistant
Each plan includes an amount of assistant use each month. When it is used up the assistant stops until the next month, unless the vault has AI credit. It never costs you more unless the owner has chosen to buy credit.
AI credit
Each plan includes an amount of FoldVault's AI each month, and a one-off amount for setting up. When that runs out, the vault can use AI credit, which the owner can buy in packs. The packs and what each one buys are shown on the AI credit page and at checkout. Credit is used only after the included AI is used up.
Credit is added as soon as payment goes through. Unused credit never expires. You can ask us to refund unused credit at any time by emailing hello@carlmumford.co.uk. We refund it to the card you paid with, in proportion to what is unused. Credit that has been used is not refunded.
Prices include everything you pay. Carl Mumford Consulting Limited is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. Stripe sends a receipt and an invoice for each purchase.
The owner can set a monthly limit on how much credit the vault uses. If FoldVault's AI is paused for everyone in a month, credit you have bought still works.
The assistant can be wrong
FoldVault's assistant, and any AI you connect to your vault, can make mistakes, miss things or misread your notes. Check anything important before you rely on it. You decide what to do with what they write.
AI tools you connect
If you connect your own Claude, ChatGPT or another AI, your use of it is between you and that provider, on their terms. We are not responsible for what they do with the notes you let them read.
Your notes
Yours. We claim nothing over them. You give us permission to store, copy and process them only to run FoldVault for you. We keep them confidential and will not look at them unless you ask us to fix something and we need to, or the law requires it. You can export them, and you can delete them.
What we ask of you
- Do not use FoldVault for anything unlawful, harmful or abusive.
- Only put in information you have the right to hold, including other people's personal information.
- Do not try to break, overload, reverse engineer or get round the limits or security of FoldVault.
- Keep your password to yourself, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has it.
- You are responsible for what the people you add to your vault do in it.
Our part
FoldVault itself, its software and design, belong to us. We work hard to keep it running, secure and backed up.
Pausing or ending an account
We may pause an account at once if it breaks these terms or puts FoldVault or other customers at risk, and we will tell you why. You can stop at any time and take your notes with you. We can end the service with at least 30 days' notice. When the service ends for any reason other than a serious breach, you have 30 days to export everything before it is deleted.
Liability
FoldVault is provided as it is. We cannot promise it will never be unavailable or never lose anything, so keep your own copy of anything you could not do without, using export.
Neither of us is liable to the other for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect loss. Our total liability to you under these terms in any 12 months is limited to the greater of £100 and what you paid us in those 12 months.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will tell you at least 14 days before a change that matters takes effect, by email or in the app, and you will be asked to accept the new version to keep using FoldVault. If you do not accept, you can export your notes and leave.
Notices
Send notices to hello@carlmumford.co.uk. We will send notices to the email address of your vault's owner.
The whole agreement
These terms, our privacy notice and our data processing agreement are the whole agreement between us about FoldVault. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
